So.. the cheapo flights to Venice through Ryanair are all very well and good.
but i didnt realise what a pain it was to get to Stansted...

I live outside of london, so was planning on getting to london via train, then hopefully getting some sort of connecting bus or train. (the stansted express seems expensive)

any tips?

it is but it is the quickest way to get there

Trains from Livepool Street go to Stansted I believe - it's pretty much the only way unless you can afford to park your car there. It's not too hard to get there though - I used to go there a lot whenever I flew Ryanair.

national express?

Do you live south of london? If not trains run from cambridge, birmingham, norwich fairly regularly.

i live close to reading.

it looks like the stansted express is going to be £48 return for both of us.. thought that was a bit steep for a 40 minute trip...

has anyone used the easybus service?

I stayed at the Raddisson when i took my family to Milan...

Free parking outside the hotel and it's a short covered walk to the airport...

No car reg or details taken at the hotel...

So i'm thinking it could be free fo anyone who just parks there. We live in Surrey...

Terravision run low cost bus link to Stansted from Liverpool street and London Victoria. Transfer time is less then an hour. The price is reasonable too £8 single £14 return. (£13 if booked on line).

Heres the link

Hope this helps

The train station is inside the airport, lower ground floor, don't know the prices. buses run til about 1am so it depends when you need to arrive/depart........the best bet is pay someone to take you, have you got a poor mate??
