Easyjet question

I was wondering if anybody knows if easyjet sell of their last empty seats on a plane just prior to departure at massively reduced prices as some carriers do? for example a flight leaving at 7pm with last check in at 5pm sold at the ticket office at 5:30pm really cheap to fill the empty seats and squeeze every last penny of profit from a flight. Because some of their flights often have around 30 or more empty seats the previous day to takeoff and if you could buy them at the airport it would be seem a good idea for an impromtu holiday. Plus if they sold the spare seats for say £4+taxes it would probably be around the same price as many early bookers would have paid for the flight. I've asked this question to a customer service person over the phone but couldnt get a definative answer.

As far as I am aware Easyjet don't do this. Years ago airlines used to do this but don't know of any that do it now. I used to be Cabin Crew for various airlines and none of the ones I worked for ever did this.

The cheapest way to get flights with Easyjet is to book as soon as the fares are available. Last November I booked to go to fly to Malaga in August, got it for £54 return per person
