If you open a dispute and you receive an eBay message saying the seller has offered a refund do not reply to it as this is a glitch that closes the case before a refund has been issued, I have been through this myself and customer service admitted this was a known glitch!

Between getting off the phone and checking my ebay the following message was waiting:

"Refund information:We have issued a courtesy credit of £56.50 to your … "Refund information:We have issued a courtesy credit of £56.50 to your PayPal account."

And the email from paypal

Dear ********,eBay ruled in your favour in your dispute case about your … Dear ********,eBay ruled in your favour in your dispute case about your purchase from ***********, and a full refund of 56.50 GBP was sent to your PayPal account. Please allow 3-5 working days for the refund to be received in your account. eBay will then consider the dispute closed. If you have any questions, please go to the eBay Resolution Centre.
