Ebay- Does anyone know what i should do???

I sold a phone last Saturday on Buy It Now. I had an email sent from the buyer to say they would send me a postal order or cheque. I hadn't received anything still so i emailed her to say had she sent it as i have not got the money through and her reply was " sorry i have another phone now and dont need that one"

DO I need to report her or do i need to let her know that i have had to pay listing fees and I shall be reporting her?

I cant believe it

report her as a non paying bidder.

If you wait (ten days i think) you can file a dispute with ebay
she will be given the chance to respond and you should get your fees back

Report the buyer to ebay, they entered a contract with you which they have broken. Good luck.

I'd file the dispute it gives her a fair chance to respond and shouodnt lead to neg feedback where it isnt needed (mainly for yourself)

i would just report a non payment, what kind of dispute would you open?

Dispute as you get your fees back , i have just been through that process as i had 2 non payers! At the end it gives them a unpaid item strike also make sure you leave negative feed back! What they did is a breech of ebays policy and unfair to you!! Good Luck!!

report for non payment

report them and dont forget to leave negative feedback but beware she could leave you neg also.. so maybe file dispute first before leaving feedback x

Ok thnks all, i cant give a couple of you rep as i have given too much out in the last 24 hours so i will do it tommorrow. What can i say i have had many people help me over the last day:)

Hi,you can report her for not paying and she will receive a non-payer strike, but then she could get funny and leave you Negative Feedback. You can go through the "Report a non-paid item" procedure, then send an agreement between you and the buyer stating the deal is not going to happen, then once done you will not be charged by E-Bay for the listing and she should`nt leave you Negative Feedback.Hope that helps!!

 aww

yup i agree this is the best opption, just could think how to phrase it before! lol i've only done it once as touch wood my buyers and sellers have all been ok with me. Good luck

oh eBay..... i remember the fun i had selling....and the excuses i had when money wasn't sent.. the even more fun thing was when you filed a dispute it was such a rigmarole that you ended up giving up due to the bureaucracy. you had to wait for a certain period, then file a dispute...then wait some more ....then some more. ebay ...paypal... never seemed to work for me when i wanted a claim. and when you did want a refund for an item not received again there were so many stipulations that the cover you though you had wasnt worth the paper it was written on.

hopefully it's better now but i doubt it.

file a dispute for non payment after 7 days and when dispute closes you will get your final value fee returned and can relist at no cost to you if you sell except final value fee.

OK, here's what you do. It doesn't guarantee that you'll get your payment, but you will get your fees back. OK. go to your ebay. then click on the item you sold. Then click on 'view order details' Then click on 'report an unpaid item'. Then click on 'continue' (above this should be the item number). Then you have two drop down boxes. first box select 'buyer has not paid for item' second box select 'buyers payment has not been received'. Then click 'continue' Then click 'send the unpaid item reminder'. - This will issue a strike against the buyer. Usually I find this gets them to pay, but of course your buyer has stated they definitely don't want it. - OK. They have acted uneasonably as you have incurred fees and this is unfair on you. To get your fees back you need to issue the above unpaid item strike. NEXT. to get your fees back, you will find on your 'sold items' page, under the item it will say 'an unpaid item dispute has been opened for this item. Click on 'view dispute'. On the right hand side under where it says 'close this dispute' click on 'continue' It then gives you 3 options, Go to the option 'I feel i have no option but to end communication...........etc' Then click on 'close dispute' (this can only be done 8 days after the dispute is filed. You should then have your fees refunded by ebay.

Sorry this is so long winded but this seems to be ebay's policy to make it complicated so they can keep their hands on your money I should imagine. Also you might feel uncomfortable giving the 'strike' against the buyer, but otherwise you will be out of pocket by a fiver or more - not fair. GOOD LUCK

Yup, and when they are negged for not paying it also allows us other sellers to quickly block them if they are bidding on one of our items
