Was a stupid rule in the first place...... might convince a few more people to go back to use it.

A key policy change is the removal of the free postage & packaging … A key policy change is the removal of the free postage & packaging requirement, introduced in 2009 in Accessories, Media and other selected categories, which will be replaced with maximum postage limits. Whilst many buyers responded positively to listings with free postage, many sellers asked for alternative options to prevent excessive postage charges – especially for listings in the auction-style format with a low starting price. In response to sellers’ feedback, the free P&P requirement for all affected categories will be removed and replaced by maximum limits to P&P charges from 8 February 2010. Find out more about the ]new P&P limits and affected categories.

Indeed,read the email earlier,

Unusual for them to do a u-turn,profits must be down!

I totally stopped using ebay because of this, I'm now using Amazon happily to sell my things. I don't think I'll be going back to ebay!

This was ridiculous, my sales dropped as most of my customer bought more than one thing but as it all had free delivery that stopped instantly... (my category is INK cartridges so hopefully they'll adjust that too)

WooHoo

and the fees will go even higher i'm guessing

+1

I won't be using ebay now then as a buyer. It was a good thing as a buyer Co's you paid the proper price for the goods instead of a stupid amount on postage eg £4.99 to send a Sim card that was 30p jiffy and 64 p post.

As a seller I can see why people would be annoyed but as a buyer it was a good thing you paid proper price for item

Sometimes after postage & ebay & paypal fee's I made a loss so as long as they set a reasonable postage limit its all good.
I buy & sell so I see this as the best way.
