Ebay Feedback - Neutral or Negative ... Your suggestions

I bought one of the camera flash priced around £250 on ebay from a seller and paid for the Next day delivery as i was looking for it urgently... I won the item on Thursday afternoon and paid immed via paypal (bank account) expecting it would be delieverd latest by Monday but the item got there by Wednesday... I did communicate to the seller before hand he had agree to send it to me ASAP ... The payment was immed definitely as i had it done through bank account not credit card ... The seller was informed of immed requirement and he had agreed ... Infact when i asked to confirm whether he sent it and he said yes when i checked the post it mentioned not sent until Tuesday ..

I am not one of those buyers to put a negative feedback unless i really feel the need...Infact this is going to be first negative feedback if i decide to ... But i really feel let down ... The item is perfect as described... What would you suggest ?? Shall i put a neutral or negative ??? Will appreciate your suggestions ....

I am thinking of putting it as below -

I TOO HAD SIMILIAR situation didnt wnat it urgent but seller had cheek to put all this BS if you dont pay within 3 days i will neg u blah blah blah i paid within mins of auction end. It took a week for game to arrive my seller too had sent 1st class day b4 i got i was fuming but left positive because item was as described just mark low on all other aspects and wrote good item shame too a week to arrive...............but for yaself i would say neutral cos apart from slow delivery it was good item. Have you emailed seller to ask for P&P refund at very least as im sure u were charge a high postage ??? see how they react if they get nasty then defo neg em as they knew grounds you bought on was for fast service................Hope this helps and it all works out

ask for your postage back!! if you get it ok then leave it but if not neg him. Misakes happen buy if you say you have sent then you should do!

I mean, if he's really appologetic then I would give him a neutral but if he's not that bothered give him a negative!!

I'd ask for postage back... coz you paid for a service you never got AND he'd agreed beforehand AND had told you it was posted when not...

if doesn't give you something back in refund (part postage - whole postage) or doesnt even bother replying to you, give a NEG with what you wrote in your post.

if refunds postage, then leave Neutral but still leave what you wrote in post.

Remember... he cant neg you back now under new ebay rules

If it was special delivery and posted on time then ask him for a refund of that cost as he will be able to claim it back from RM, if he delayed in posting it then ask for it back, if he does then neutral feedback if not then negative, remember sellers cannot leave buyers negative feedback any longer!

Sorry i was away from my desk... he did post by special delivery though he did it very late....but said so .. he only paid 6.50 whereas i paid 9.50 for next day

ya thats right i paid for next day special delivery £9.50... instead of just special delivery which was for £6.50 .. i did not ask him any reason for being late....

I am sure the delay was due to it being sent late... so no commitment basically from the seller...

Packagaing costs? I'd expect decent wrapping worth £3 for a £250 camera.

The package was definitely sent late... as per the postage stamp ...

I guess he deserves a negative as some of you've mentioned ... I emailed him so many times to ask him about the delivery of the package and he never replied and then he replied quite late by the time i had lost patience... the package then came through by wednesday which was already quite late for me to forward it to my bro who was waiting for it ...

i agree with you ... but i have never left neg before .. this is the first time i really felt let down ... as it was an urgent package and there was very poor comms from the ebayer ... he never came back with any apology for the delay as wel...

although a neg cant be left, there is nothing to stop them leaving you appropriate feedback, it may not be marked as a neg, but it may be a neg comment, i always read up on the ebayers last page of reps, i dont jjust look at the negs, and nor do many, and certainly ebayers will be looking into comments more now they know you cant mark it as neg

you can call him? get his details-or make a paypal claim against him for the postage refund? i have never done it but surely you can?

well, you paid for a service he didnt provide - so ask for a refund and if that fails, neg him.

he posted with the service advertised, you agreed to pay 9.50 postage so there is nothing wrong with that; it's not just the actual postage you are paying for but also packaging and time to go to post office etc.

as long as the goods you received were as advertised, negative feedback shouldn't be left

This thread shows why the feedback changes are bad.
Were you happy with the item?
If not and he fails to sort it out then neg him
If you are happy with it then you definately shouldn't leave a neg.
He delivered it using a next day service, which is what you paid for. At the very worst give him a neutral, but personally would leave a positive and mark him down on dispatch time
Not sure how he sent it though as there isn't a special delivery rate of £6.50?
