can i do that, do i have to offer second chance offer?

Whatever it is you need proof of delivery, which is going to be both hard and expensive to the USA IMO.

OP can you put the item number on here so we can have a look please?

Lol I have to agree but no doubt some will disagree. You have to make sure you have proof of delivery (if you want to be protected) and it can be difficult finding a service abroad that will give you that. Did you state on your listing that you would post there or to UK only? iIf you didn't say you'd post there then just explain this to the buyer and then offer it the next highest UK bidder

Cant believe people actually buy second hand coats, shameful imo.

You don't have to offer to the next highest bidder its just a quicker sale. But you can just cancel the sale and then re list

Did you have another bidder involved, were they UK based and what was the difference in bids. If the answers are yes, yes, and not much then for and less pain and less risk offer it to the next bidder.

Yes in my listing I just put UK postage and no mention of worldwide postage.

Would you be able to report it to ebay then being as they bid and didn't read the listing, so hopefully you won't get a negative off them as they may be able to leave one?

You need to cancel the current sale and that way no feedback can be left and then do the second chance bit

Doesn't the buyer have to agree with it to cancel it?

If you put just UK postage then tell them either it cannot be done or quote them an astronomical figure for the postage, this should hopefully put them off and they will agree to cancel.

Just email the buyer explaining that you dont post abroad, explain your reasons, so; its too costly and too risky, and say the only way you would consider posting to them would be to use the fully trackable and signed for service, which is usually very expensive.
Be very apologetic, and if they have paid say that you are going to refund immediately and would they be so kind as to agree to the termination of the sale.
Open a case, (resolve a problem) and pick the option buyers address is somewhere I dont post to, im sure there is that option, or just pick one that doesnt look bad on the buyer, like they've changed mind. And once that has been agreed to by the buyer you can second chance offer and get the fees back. Should only be a problem if the buyer makes a fuss, but if you are clear, and apologetic, they will understand and hopefully not neg. You could always ask them to not neg and offer to leave them feedback stating they were very understanding etc

Stop being so fearful, americans are nice you know. I sold a figure on ebay once went for £50.00 an american buyer bought it, paid straight away even though i never specified a postage cost to america .
Sent it at the cheapest rate and 5 days later i had positive feedback from the guy.

I say send it to the winner.
