    eBay - i've been sent the wrong item

    I messaged them last week, but still not heard anything. Do i have a leg to stand on? It was only £1, but i want to do what I can as they couldnt be bothered to reply and apologise.
    Should I go through ebay, paypal? Or should i just leave them neg feedback?

    What are they apologising for,you sent the wrong item,they might be away for example,do you know they have seen your message?

    You'd be better off phoning them,but for a pound,what's the point really.

    Just dispute it with ebay - tell them you've been sent the wrong thing and see what they say. As you said its only £1 but it doesn't make it right, plus the seller is ignoring you - leave it to Ebay to deal with. Just click on the "contact us" button at the top right of page. You may even get your £1 back!

    But the phoning part still stands,Ebay messages don't always get through.

    it's £1..probably cost them more than £1 to post it, forget about it it's not the end of the world

    leave them a negative feedback and go through paypal if you are bothered about it.

    You should never leave neg feedback without trying to contact and get things sorted first as it could be a simple mistake.

    The seller likely will just send the correct item if its only worth £1 as it would be cheaper than returning it.

    I messaged them as soon as I receive the item. As I've heard nothing I will leave neg. feedback - first time i've had to...

    Open a dispute before leaving feedback as if you leave feedback first it may seem like you are the bad one moaning at minor things.

    leaving a neg over something you paid £1 for is pathetic, like someone else said it's probably just a simple mistake and the seller hasn't bothered checking their email/ebay messages after selling something for a mere pound

    If its a geniune mistake and they may be very busy, if it is a business locate a telephone number for them. Or fill in request contact info form through eBay.

    A negative against a genuine mistake would make you out to be worse, try going through proper channels in ebay like resolutions centre. That way they get a case open whihc is more visible when logged in rather than an email/message amongst potential hundreds they may get.


    If all else fails and you bought form legitimate business try escalating through ebAy and then should no resolutions come abou seek advice through Trading Satandard and Consumer Direct.

    Left negative feedback, purely because they didnt respond to messages (looking at their few negatives, seems to be a problem of theirs - should be highlighted in my opinion). I wouldnt have cared about the £1 if they apologised.

    Opened a case against them. They havent replied to any of their negative feedback regarding the lack of communication (99.2% positive) but may give them a kick up the backside regarding this.
