eBay, maybe its early but this email makes no sense to me.

We wanted to remind you that the unpaid item case for ........... will automatically close at 20:20:19 GMT on Sunday, 05 Dec, 2010.

If you don't close the case before then, you won't get your Final Value Fee credit, and it won't be recorded as an unpaid item on the buyer's account.

If you did receive payment for the item, please close the case . It can help you build a good relationship with the buyer.

so i got to close it to get the FVF but if I got the money I also got to … so i got to close it to get the FVF but if I got the money I also got to close it and then I wont get the FVF !!!!

    That sounds right though.
If you get the money it means the item has sold and been paid for so no you wouldnt get the FVF back.
But if no money, close it yourself before deadline and yes you will get the FVF

I think when you clickon close case, it will give you options. I.e You were paid? You werent paid?
If i remember correctly. But go to your ebay account and into disputes to do it.

    This correct, there are options..

there are options and the default one is something along the lines of 'you received payment' and me being trigger happy just clicked through and lost a £10 final value fee once...

eBay setting it to the default on purpose..
