Ebay postage + possible damage

Hello all

As everyone is so helpful on here I was just wondering if I could ask your opinions.

Last night I bought a large keyboard/electric piano thing on Ebay and paid for postage, which was offered by the seller. Now the seller has emailed me asking if it would be possible to meet up to exchange the item as he is worried that it might get damaged in transit- he quoted me the "large" dimensions of the item, which I thought he might have noticed/ taken into account before putting up the listing. It is not convenient for me to meet up anywhere near to him at the moment; the fact that there was a postage option was something I was looking for in the first place.

What I am wondering is, if I say it's not possible to meet up, am I then liable if the thing gets damaged in the post? I would have thought not (paid by paypal), but I'm not sure. Just wondering what people think.

Many thanks in advance!
