    eBay scam or not?

In the past couple of months i have some sold items on ebay. 2 of them were phones, both of which were bought by someone with an English/foreign name mixed. Just sold an item about half hour ago. Again bought by a similar person.

All 3 of the paypal transactions included thier name with this information below

    " Fedex Zambia-kitwe,One World logistics"

At first it seemed very dodgy as when i searched for the company name on google it came up with "Company Name: FedEx Express Zambia Limited
    City: Lusaka
    Telephone: + 260 211 252 191/89
    Service Available: Import & Export"

The person looked to have a genuine ebay account with 200+ feedback for the recent item i sold and similar feedback for the other 2 items which i sold previously, all were from different ebay accounts but had the same little info in thier paypal transaction including the Fedex Zambia bit..

All 3 of them have done the same thing, bought and paid straight away - and message me right after asking for tracking information when its been sent and then no contact made ever.

Was just curious is this something to worry about? is someone targeting my account? 3rd time this has happened with 3 different ebay accounts and 3 different names but same address??

However, despite me worrying, nothing has actually happened. I receive payment, its been cleared, i sent the item its been received and then no communication or bad feedback or any paypal dispute??

Is this something to worry about??? Should i contact ebay, but what could i say to them??

    Thanks for readin!

Sounds dodge but if it's been 2 months and they've not raised an issue, they could be genuine.
A scammer would raise a chargeback/PayPal claim sooner.

If you are a genuine importer in some weird and wonderful land that generally flags up as having high fraudulent activity, it can be difficult. Can you imagine buying rainbow looms from eBay from Nigeria? Everyone will assume you're a scammer but you might just really like rainbow looms and want a cheap and easy source to sell on locally.

If they were older phones and not worth a lot then i'd say probably not a scam, but if they were brand new phones worth hundreds then i'd definitely get onto Ebay about it and paypal.

They could have stolen someone I'd and password

Did u send the items abroad

Where do they want shopping to? As long as you shop to confined address & follow seller protection rules you should be ok.

Not dodgy at all. Foreign buyers buy mobiles alot as they are subsidised in the uk

It isn't a scam, just a way to get items sent to countries you don't shop to. Its a forwarding company who will ship your phone to the buyer in zambia - a bit like the global shipping program in the states.

The ebay buyer protection policy (moneyback guarantee) doesn't cover items shipped on after delivery such as this so its actually a good thing for sellers

I had it a while a go, Thought it looked dodgy although the buyer had good feedback and took the risk, No problem has come from it, He didn't leave me any feedback though.

If it was the other way around i'd (personally) be more worried. i.e 1st ones a test buy to see if you'd ship to them, 2nd one gives you confidence in a repeat buyer and then the third one they make the claim and make their money back.

Don't think you'll have any problems.

The item was received by them earlier today. The persons name was Michael with a foreign last name but the delivery was signed for by someone called David, as it did with the other 2 deliveries to this address :L
