this guy is selling multiple lots of 70 different things like the following

wii nunchuk and wiimote - £1
xbox 360 wireless controller - £1
100 dvdr discs - £1

all free postage so making a huge loss on every item

i checked 5 of his items and hes sold in excess of 200 units so far in about 3 hours

just before the weekend so nobodys gonna rumble him till next week at the earliest due to postage.......making a few grand in the process i reckon

just a heads up as someone has posted 1 of these items in a deal thread not knowing its a scam

anyone whio actually believes they'll get a wiimote for a £1 delivered deserves to get scammed in my book!

reported seller anyway not that ebay will act on it

just being curious, how do you know for sure it is a scam? or are you just being cautious?
share the know-how please...

its obvious.

ebay & paypal fees would be about 50p and would cost £3 in postage so they would be down £2.50 on every sale

the fact they went from selling a few items per month to now having about 100+ £1 multiple lots is the biggest clue

tempted to buy it now on all of them as i have 7 days to pay by which time ebay would have closed them down (hopefully :w00t:)

might just buy one and then post a really big neg to warn others :-D

you'd have thought ebay would have a system in place to spot these scammers

its so blatant!

They changed there user name last week but have been an Ebay member 3 years

tbh, if you think you can get a 360 controller for £1 you deserve to have that pound taken from you.

damn!

will I be generous and forfeit a £1 to warn others...................................

would be intriguing to see what ebay / paypal do to get my £1 back if I do

Sloth/Mod

No-one will get scammed as they will get a refund from Paypal anyway.

I can't seem to find this rogue seller nor the items in post 3... maybe ebay got wise and banned him??

thanks...
i just wonder why would anyone "sacrifice" their 62 feedbacks for and get banned fro virtually nothing really (out of million users you would assume some may be suspicious).
it seems something stupid to do.

hopefully, paypal stopped the payment before it got processed :-D

update:

dont know what exactly has happened but the items appear to of been removed and the username has changed to or reverted back to...... smooth_og with the exact same feedbacks but no listings

seems ebay have actually done good on this one

dont know whats happened but i know user computerman from here was 1 of the people suckered in by this so maybe he knows more?

for further notice, you can buy 'buy it now' items with 'immediate payment' nd not pay immediately by using the ebay app on your touch or iphone.

surely if its to be paid immediately then you dont then there is a chance the item can still be sold no?

just askin:)

also if the paypal accounts been cleared sy, there is a chance you wont get any money back from paypal

yea think the case is the combination of these: the modus is to get small (but large volume) immediate payment and then clear paypal quickly (not to bank account but o other PP account through PP gift). But i dont think the genuine account holder did it ...

the real looser is PayPal really cos of buyer protection scheme

ok i called ebay on this number 0208 8080 2105 i found that number via paypal resolution centre. paypal tells you to press 6 but i ended up pressing something like 2,1,3 .Anyways the woman on the phone send ebay was the one that removed the items due to some violation. Now ebay will refund me via paypal within the next 3 days. sorted!

eBay has paypal protection so you are guaranteed to get it back. The losers would be Paypal which is why they've acted quickly.

i know but it has been known for people not to receive funds back due to them not being able to recover them from insuffiecient funds in the sellers account.....but we both know this anyway:)

better not to risk in the first place and its always worth doing a little research if the deal looks too good to be true......computerman

Exactly..........still not worth the risk. As even if you do get your money back then god knows how long Paypal will decide to hold onto it for anyway.

i got my money back didnt i keke, thats all that matters.

yeah thats all that matters at the end of the day but you should of looked into it first before you made several posts across the forum promoting the scammer.......inconveinicing more than yourself in the process:thumbsup:

also have a funny feeling some members on this forum may have had something to do with it from other posts but that cannot be verified

Good thing people got scammed by this guy, I think. Everyone needs to learn that if something is too good to be true then it is, and I guess losing £1 to an Xbox 360 controller scam is better than losing £100 to a Beko telly scam.
