Ebay selling question. Help!

I'm selling a used phone on eBay via buy it now and someones just bought it. However, he just sent me a message saying he wants to send the item to his girlfriend as a gift and to reply saying if the condition of the phone is good. He said he will pay via Paypal. He's got 0 feedback and registered for eBay today.

Sounds dodgy but if he's paying via Paypal I'm safe aren't I?

Do I just click on 'relist' now?

The thing is, I want it to finish on a Sunday so can I just wait until thursday?

Only post to the address on paypal so that you are eligable for seller protection.
Make sure you follow all of Paypal's rules and suggestions and remember that not all new sellers are bad, everyone has to start somewhere. Just message him replying saying what the condition the phone is in (refer him to any photos you have as well, the more photos the less chance of a buyer being unhappy) and that you will only send it to the registered paypal address and see what he replies and take it from there.

I have done that. I doubt I will even get a reply.

If you relist on buy it now, you can tick a box saying instant payment only which means that the item is only removed from sale and sold when the payment has gone through Paypal. That might be the best thing for you if you want a quick sale and don't have time for a full auction.

Sounds dodgy, but if they have a confirmed Paypal address and you post Recorded, or special depending on the price of the phone. There again best sometimes to go with your gut feeling and stay clear. ( Think I would stay clear )

Tbh it may not be a scam. They may just genuinely have joined to buy the phone. If you do sell to them make sure it is recorded delivery
