I sold a DVD on ebay ...packaged it all up and wrote the buyers address on the package.

Buyer sent payment but the adress has now changed on both his ebay and paypal accounts.

The guy hasnt left anyone feedback in over year but yet has purchased multiple items.

Should i send it signed for even though the item in question is lower than a tenner ?

Always send to the address which stated on Paypal transaction details. You will be cover

I would send it to the paypal registered address too to cover yourself.

As above but yes send it recorded too otherwise you aren't covered unless you have proof that they have received it

I had this - the buyer demanded a refund. Ebay was useless with its help. Paypal said I was covered ok (as long as you send to the verified address). Hold your ground. you are in the right.

id send it recorded anyway, i always send everything recorded as its to easy for a buyer to say they didnt recieve it. just add on an extra 79p i think it is now to your postage price when you next list something, its worth it in the end if anything does happen to go missing and only post to the paypal address, as sometimes the address on ebay can be different to the paypal one.

i think they should change the rules on ebay and make it complulsary to have recorded delivery and still have non recorded and if the buyer choses not to have recorded and it does go missing then its basically tuff as the option was there and they are not covered by paypal.

Maybe he's moved and only just changed the address, why don't you message him and ask,i'm sure he won't bite you

I disagree,in the main people are honest and so are RM,i sell and buy all the time and i rarely send anything RD.

I always send everything recorded. I know on occasion it doesn't track, or should I say it doesnt show online when I check the #.. But on the whole it works and I can make sure things have been delivered and that someone isn't pulling my leg (which happened once, but ever since I don't take the chance even on lower priced items).
If it does go missing Paypal are going to want some postage details, a tracking number.
I only ever send to the confirmed address' too, otherwise I don't think you are covered.
As its less than a tenner though its up to you. Just email and ask what the deal is.. Like someone else said hes prob just moved.

i agree most people are honest but for the ones that are not it might stop them trying to pull a fast one, if it does go missing you can claim from RM anyway.
