Come on everyone on here who hates Ebay, let's get rid of those unwanted presents and bid /buy now on the ones you didn't get ! Let's start using Ebid. It is a real alternative to Ebay. I know people sell on here but it doesn't seem right to send the item to a buyer before he/she pays for it !

No, ebid is pants.

Google needs to make an auction site, pay everyone £3 referral like e-bay used to, Robert's your father's brother. No more e-bay

Thanks for the heads up! I've been using fleabay for many years, but it's been p*****g me right off due to the lack of protection for sellers and the fact that buyers can seem to do anything and behave any way they want AND get away with it! Grr! Will definitely give this new site a go - thanks!

FO.LK off with them

Same reason I stopped.

Sold a broken mobile for spares with 'Broken Mobile' in giant letters at the top and throughout the listing and the numpty who bought it still complained it didn't work.

Any alternative to Paypal rubbish they are brought a item of ebay in October which didn't turn up claimed end of Oct case is still ongoing being reviewed by Paypal when emailed and asked how much longer they told me might be end of Feb or middle of April till case is resolved.

OP, is it Bilbo Bagains you like. :whistling:

Norfolk 'n' Chance... :-D

Tried eBid many times and sold nought on it....tried on here and fleabay and sold stuff almost straight away.

Coverage comes at a premium and at this point in time eBay has the coverage....so if you want to sell your stuff fast and get some decent cash for it, unfortunately fleabay seems to be that place for the time being.

I always try on here first though.

Yahoo used to run a free to use auction site.

QXL was once a far busier auction site than eBay in the UK, however everybody got sucked in by eBay, and QXL sadly closed down.

Spot on Fleabay has the coverage and that goes a long way, i have had nothing but joy from buying and selling on it but each to their own i suppose.
