    Ebook Readers?

I'm an avid reader, often consuming 2-3 books in a week, and am considering embracing the new technology of ebook's.

Just wondering whether anybody else uses an ebook reader, and if so what do you use and what do you think of it?

Probably my main issue would be that I could do with something splashproof as I so tend to read quite often in the bath.

Also would need something well supported, which has plenty of books available for it.

    What are your thoughts?

    Cheers,

    I have the ]Sony.

I love it! I also read a lot... and I've had this for a few months. I think I have read about 20 books on it so far. It is just great - so easy to read from - just like a real book.

For me, well worth the money.

Oh just noticed you can get a silicone case for it - this looks good - i might get it.

i read ebooks from my omnnia (windows mobile phone) and before that on a windows pocket pc palmtop.
love being able to have my book with me wherever i go
and for me, its easier (and cheaper!) having a palmtop and downloading and converting books than buying each one i read one by one.

I did have a quick look a while ago, but the ebooks were more expensive than the normal versions and the readers themselves tended to be trying to hard to be books. Things like using left and right arrows for pages instead of the more sensible up and down, and putting the page turning buttons where you'd want them if you held it like you held a book rather than you actually did.

    +1
also Ebook readers are just too expensive.
I mean i would love an E-ink Ebook Reader i really would but i just cant afford it!

I do love books though, anyone who goes near my books with the intention of cracking the spine whilst reading faces a painful death from me. I cant stand spine crackers!

In al seriousness though i dont think now is the time to adopt an ebook reader. year and a half/2 and that is when the real boom will be, features (soft and hardware) + affordable prices.
