Has anyone else with EE had their data reset itself?
Last month I used my 5gb data limit 4 days before the end of the month, I was reluctant to buy anymore until the end of the month so just left it, the following day I checked and it had reset itself back to 5gb, i used some of this extra data and it reset itself back to 5gb on its normal day,

it's doesn't reset with the new calendar month. if you download the ee app you can see the reset date http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n190/skunk_monkey/Mobile%20Uploads/Screenshot_2016-10-08-06-43-49_zpsaaqvmgap.jpg

Happened with my daughters line, she had used 2.46gb according to the data tool on the phone and she only had an allowance of 2gb. I checked her remaining allowances on ee and she still had 1.5gb left, my main concern was that she was being charged for going over.

each provider measures data in a different way

some do not include emails - some do not include some webpages without heavy data content - so do not include uploads etc etc

your phone data tool will include ALL data

the only reliable data meter / monitor is the provider's !

as for OP - are you sure it was not reset on the contract refresh date which is not the same as the first day of the month (in most cases)

I was definitely incorrect as she had used nearly 1.5gb of youtube and a mixture of facebook/instagram totalling 900mg so i am fairly confident it was reset as per OP.

This will happen if you're being billed for extra data. EE charge by 24 hour period.

You'll need to check via their EE app if this has happened.

My 3 year old can go through that in a day watching random youtube vids

One thing I have noticed is that the remaining 1gb never lasts very long, I'm sure that EE do it on purpose so you spend another £6 on another 1gb.

Thanks, I do use the app and the data refreshes on the 7th of every month

Yes this happened to me once. Came back from holiday and my data was back to 10gb which is what I get for the whole month and this was about 5 days before the end of the month. Then it reset its self again on the renewal date. No extra charges
