    Electric Razor - Advice Needed

Over the last 20 years I've always shaved using a wet razor and shaving cream.

Now I'm thing about trying an electric razor. Ideally I'd like to be able to set how close I'd like the shave. Most of the time I like a bit of stubble, but there are days when I need to be close shaven.

I normally suffer with bad razor rash, so don't know how I'd get on with an electric razor.

All comments, suggestions, advice and deal links appreciated

thanks. I'll take look at that..

You will never get a really good close shave with an electric IMO, and they are pretty expensive.

My tip for easing irritation is to use good quality gel (I like Fusion) and shave after your shower, helps with your skin being more relaxed - rinse with cool water rather than hot.

A decent electric is about £100 aye?

£100 buys me plenty of blades!

Anyhoo, what I really meant was that it could be an expensive experiment for the OP, if he doesn't like the electric, I doubt they take them back.

i use a I-Stubble from Babyliss, here a review and picture

Learn how to shave with a decent DE safety and you'll never look back. This is what i use Merkur 34c, use with some proper shaving cream (not the crap in a can).

    Fusion - I get months from 1 blade - I don't get a massive hair growth.

LOL - nope - I'm 40! I just don't have heavy growth and don't need to shave too often as a result - I've also got a bit of alopecia in the beard area that saves me a fortune in blades.

    +1
Thats what I use, a nice and close shave, waterproof and smooth cream to cut down on soreness, the cream's a little bit expensive but you can pull the plastic can apart and fill with any other shaving type cream.
