I use my mains powered one so little now, since most tins have ring pulls, that I keep it in a cupboard and now use a fork or spoon handle to open them, after one cut a ring around my finger

If I was buying one today, I'd get one of those battery powered automatic ones that spin round on top of the can so I wouldn't have to mess with coiling up the flex when I put it away.

Mine is exactly the same as this and purchased 20 years ago and works like new still. Thoroughly recommended. Avoid cookworks products as they are cheap for a reason.
