Be looking at the Electronic cigarettes available - theres to many to choose at massive price differences. Different sizes etc..

Semi-given up the fags (given up for 3 weeks but now smoking 1 cig a day) but im struggling now - so was looking to replace the smoking habit with...well a new one lol!

if you really feel the urge call the smoking helpline, honestly they do immediate intervention (OH gave up many years ago and they were like, intervention with someone in glasgow lol). they talk with you and help curb you out of the craving during the phone call, dono how they do it but OH is like, hasnt smoked in nearly 6 years!

Good down to one a day thats brilliant I've gave up now for 5 months (used champix)

Not tried the cigs but anythings worth a try keep up the good work

Zyban and sheer mind over matter!!!

try tampons as you light it the string catches fire and takes your eyebrows off (i now panic at the sight of a lit match)

electric fags????? what next?

Don't switch to these, i packed in smoking 6 weeks ago now after about 20 years and it does get easier honest, i really recommend reading Allen Carrs Easy Way book, its very good.

15 months smoke free:thumbsup:, i mind over matter, I reprogrammed my brain.

Now I am a non smoker not an ex smoker.:-D

I don't smoke but I can imagine trying to give up chocolate (obviously times by a million if not more). How about thinking of all the things that you could buy with the money that you'll save. You could start writing a list, or working out how much money you'll actually save. But you have to do it either in your head or hand written, no calculators or anything. Work out how much per month, year, decade etc etc

paper, floss tip and dried leaves. lol

Don't deal extreme sell these electric cigarettes?

Maybe worth a punt if they're cheap...?

I've been smoke free since 01 Jan 2007

well done birdyboy - and now look at you, a chicken liberator! full admiration.

Question, what are electronic cigarettes?

I gave up for 3 months with the NHS and started again, I will give up again and try harder, I didn't believe TBH it would be so difficult, not happy with myself about it.

how about begin to disassociate activities or things u do associated with smoking eg. smoking at certain time or place or do soemthing completely different. then there's no reminders or persuasion.

electric cigs - i dono either. maybe they're things that u stick in yr mouth but u get a zap.

Ive been smoke free since 2007 its now 2300 and i'm gasping for a ciggie back in 5 .............................................................................................................

My OH gave up 10 years ago using hypnotherapy, went in smoking 20 a day and came out saying "what a load of c**p, like that's gonna work" and never smoked another ciggie again!! Hypnotherapist said you have to have every reason why not to smoke, if there is one reason why you still want to, you will carry on. This is just one persons point of view obviously but the OH had every reason to give up - it makes you smell, costs a lot, damages your health, affects fertility etc. etc. and didn't actually enjoy doing it anymore. I personally didn't want to try hypnotherapy cos I don't want my brain rewiring! I tried NHS and quit for a year but started again then quit again thru NHS for a year then started again then did Allen Carr audio and feel differently about the smoking thing now. Doesn't mean I have given up forever but I do feel more positive this time. Everyone is different and what works for one person won't work for another, 3 other people we know went to the same hypnotherapist and they are still smoking. The OH's Uncle started using nicotine gum 5 years ago and is still addicted to it now?! Good luck with giving up.

lol

I don't smoke and so haven't used an "electric cigarette", but for what it's worth, I saw them on tv the other day and every smoker who tried it said it was **** and didn't do anything for them at all, besides looking ridiculous with a piece of plastic with a light up tip sticking out their gob :P

hmmm sweet sweet delicious ciggarettes. so smokey and refreshing........
