    eMachines warranty

Will opening the case up and installing something like some more RAM or changing the graphics card void the warranty?

No is the basic answer for RAM, not sure about the graphics card, but I doubt it.

I am not too sure where you can buy eMachines, but I am sure one of the resellers will do upgrades. If that is the case, you can just say you took it to them to get the upgrade done (main thing being, that you didn't do it yourself). That's if they even ask.

I bought if from Currys Online.

    It's an Emachines E4264.

The RAM and the GPU are 1gb and a 8300GS which is pretty much why I want to change them.

You're the one with an eMachines E4264, why don't you tell us?

An 8800GT and most similar cards are around 9-9.5" long, you'll have to measure that and see if there's anything blocking the end of the card.
