Email proof of competition win?

    Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there is anyone here that has won on any of the competitions on here, if so have you got a copy of a winning email? The reason I ask is I have so many emails coming through that I'm worried I might miss a winner. (wishful thinking, i know) any ideas of what is or what is not a legit email.

    Many thanks x

Hi, I won £3000 worth of Sony Products once. I received an email off the company and thought it was a scam, then I received a letter saying the same thing, I telephoned the company and they confirmed and the next day the items turned up. I suppose it's worth checking your emails to see, but I wouldn't worry most times you enter, you usually need to give a phone number as well, or an address.

Wow, £3000 of Sony products, that's amazing! I'm new to comping (thanks to this site) I have become a little obsessed lol.

Thanks for the reply and congrats on the win! Fingers crossed I get that special email or letter

Nice win gives hope to the rest of us

Winning emails usually have the subject of congratulations and are in plain text, but you don't always receive an email sometimes stuff just shows up at your door usually with a little note, unless of course you win a comp where they phone you.

An email is usually sent to competition winners (I'd say in about 8/10 cases) but as mentioned by others sometimes the prize just arrives in the post with no previous contact. Click to Win winners receive an email to confirm address details with the subject heading "You entered a *magazine title* competition -- AND WON!"

Always check your junk folder as I have had a few competition win emails find their way there despite being from fairly well known brands/companies.

Hope some of this is useful!

The emails won't come from HUKD. They are only linking you to external competitions run by third parties. Any emails would come from these third parties and would be unique, so a copy of a 'winning' email received by another member may be useless

lot of times email begins with Congratulations - sometimes from the actual company - sometimes promotional company dealing with it (who remembers the boots and pepsi one?)

if you do facebook twitter ones look in messages and other - or they may tag you

heres a useful search - just put in winner - or congratulations then your name - see if any pop up - good luck

    heres one of mine :

    BCC me 16 Dec 2014

You have won the above competition with The Times.
