    Has anyone experience with this ?. Just wondering how long it takes for it to be accepted , hopefully.

    What do you mean by accepted? What stage of the process are you up to?

    Do you have a union rep or are you doing this off your own back ?

    I did have a rep but she left the organisation ... Will contact PCS for representation but they've been very offish ..

    You don't help your case with your 1 line responses. You need to give people more information....

    I think I'm right in saying that if the union isn't representing/supporting you, its a very expensive process. somewhere in the region of £1200.

    Well I'm still with them and have completed form for financial help. Given previous cases I could find, it is a very healthy success rate but will contact union ASAP

    What type of claim are you bringing? For example breach of contract, constructive dismissal, or discrimination etc?

    If union don't/can't help consider going via the 'no win, no fee' route. I did a few years ago, , made redundant without notice or consultation. Totally ignored the ' it's the position that's made redundant, not the person' rule. Didn't offer suitable other employment that was available. I contacted local lawyers, explained what had happened and they suggested the 'No win, no fee'. Won the case easily. I took home four figures, but would have done it for nothing just to see the arrogant wotsit brought down a peg or two.

    What company was this? Unions are usually intertwined with said company & will do everything to talk you out of taking said company to tribunal! There's a form the court will advise filling in if you cannot afford to pay fees online form, it took about 5 weeks for a response from experience, I worked for the largest Telecoms company in the uk the worst bullies ever.

    Discrimination. ACAS were useless ... No response and under two years so only course of action ..

    Employment rights in UK are appalling, Thatchers legacy lives on.

    Sorry to be negative but having gone through this ordeal it's not easy & it's designed to put you off, & it put me off even the citizens advice put me off saying just move on with your life & look at it as a learning curve, but having heard what the Judge then Said about BT the employment law specialist then said take this all the way you have a really good case! Despite all of this I was very ill at the time a great torment of sleepless nights & lots of unpleasantries that follow with sleep disorder caused by my former employer, if your case is strong the union should be battling for you but that said the unions are as weak as water & left me in the Lurch that was the CWU aka communications workers union, they unfortunately are paid employees Of BT & also shareholders so there is a conflict of interest from the get go, awful company with abominable Ethics, good luck with what you do just make sure 100% everything is documented & you follow the guidance / process to the absolute & within time frame allocated for each step.

    Cheers man. Not sure mine is as watertight but during appeal , rep told me they didn't follow protocol and weren't in position to do what they did.

    I submitted a case a year or so ago for unfair dismissal and discrimination. I had gone through the company grievance procedure (actually it was a local authority and I expected better from them tbh). As I had been dismissed (contract ended but due to my length of service it should had been treated as a redundancy and I should have been offered other positions, they didn't do this, just gave me notice without following the procedures. I later found out that they had been massively under paying me too) I applied for the help with fees. I am not sure of timescales for everything, but I think I submitted to claim in about march time and it was due to have the first hearing in July and a final one in about October. A few days before the first hearing my old employers made me an offer of settlement, it wasn't everything I was claiming but I accepted it because it was them admitting they were wrong and I had something and no more stress of it.

    Had my fees accepted but PCS claiming I never contacted them earlier .. hitba brick wall and all I had to do was fill a form out.
