Depends on your budget really? A few places have sales on just now and its worth checking them out

Beaverbrooks and Goldsmiths, or even H Samuals have some pretty nice things in, for various budgets

    budget in upto 400-500.
can you plz tell where the sale is on???

Go for second hand better quality and workman ship
    Also more for your money.
Find a shop that does second hand rings and see if he will a
shop you his new stock when they buy clean and then show there are taxes to be added .
So see new stock without tax if you no what i mean

Like the first poster, it depends on how much you want to spend.

    Here are two less well known, (some products are costly) but very solid reputable companies;

    stepheneinhorn.co.uk/

loveandpride.com/ (American site, but ship to the UK and if you sign up to their emails you get 5% discount off your first order) - this is a pro gay site but has a lot of very decent rings on there to suit all tastes.

Good luck finding what you want!

Its ok,nobody else did either lol

Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham worked well for me...loads of shops close together so they have to be really competitive too, made it well worth the trip for me as got a much better ring than if I'd bought one off the high street locally for the same £.

Try ]cooldiamonds.com they let you choose all of your specifications online & give you the price & can then make the ring for you. Very competitive prices compared with other shops in Hatton Gardens (London) & very helpful staff.

    thanks for the reply

If you are around London, then Hatton gardens is your place. Made a ring there once, jolly fun choosing the diamonds, designing it.

Argos and the other shops like that have cheep rings, but they are worth a lot less. If you were to melt the gold down, and pluck out the diamond it would not be worth much.
For the same amount you can spend at those places, you can get a more valuable ring.

A jewellery store that sells second hand Jewellery is probably fine, a second hand store that sells Jewellery I would personally avoid. Many may be fine, but I would not want to take the risk.

If you are on cable, I think there is a jewellery channel has ok items. Though would go for the proper stones, not the look-a-likes.

I would personally avoid the designer stores. If I was going to spend £800 on a ring, I would like its components to be worth somewhere close to it, rather than £150 pounds for the materials, and £700 for the name.

The cooldiamonds site looks very good.

Would say also do not go for a ring that is too raised, as it will be annoying if always catching on things.
