^^^^^ this 100%

What on earth was Capello smoking when he included Carragher in the squad. he is an own goal/penalty/red card/mistake waiting to happen

I completely agree. Maybe time for another Facebook petition - I'd start it off but I don't have Facebook .

Probably controversial but as a back up I'd have gone for Gary Neville.

Where is Peter Bonnetti?

Don't look as Heskey as a player look at the team as a whole. Englands record when he plays is far better than when he doesn't. Agree on paper I wouldn't have him loading the bags on the plane but something clicks when he plays.

Couldn't agree more... You can't just whack all stars together and expect magic, you need to go with a team that makes sense.. Heskey fits in well with that approach.

The question is...will carragher be a starter??? i mean why would he come out of retirement to be a bench warmer.....isnt that why he announced his retirement before!

in central defence i can see him being 4th choice behind Rio, Terry and King....maybe he will be used for cover at right back!

Carragher turned his back on England, should tell him to do one IMO.

He will be used as a right back.

Wes Brown >>>> Glen Johnson.

i wonder if Theo Walcott will get to play this time

Totally agree with you....just think gary neville would have been a better choice to cover the right back position then carragher...i mean both of them dont have the pace, but gary neville provides a bit more going forward....and knows the right back position better than any other english right back!

which 7 do you think he will leave at home then?

I'm really not sure, don't think Bent will go from the 30 or Wright-Phillips and Jo Cole

yep, thats a positive about having him in the squad....he is pretty solid playing anywhere across the back four.

personally going on form i think dawson & terry should start as centre backs

dawson has had an amazing season but i still think rio should start ahead of him, Rio and King are best at bringing the ball out of defense and his understanding with Terry will be priceless!

I think he will do, he'll be first choice right winger if he stays fit. I think he'll do better for England than Arsenal becase England are a lot more direct and don't do as much passing around.

Johnson, parker, warnock, swp, carragher, upson, bent or heskey

Depending on the fitness of the rest

My 1st choice team would be

----------------------James--------------------
Johnson----Terry---Ferdinand-----Cole
Milner------Lampard----Gerrard-----Cole
-----------Heskey--------Rooney----------

Back ups

----------------------Hart-------------------------
Neville----Dawson-----King------Warnock?
Lennon----Carrick----Barry-------???
-----------Defoe-----Crouch-----------------

Why wouldn't he?

Because he has the first touch of a snooker table cushion and less brains than a jellyfish. Milner and Lennon ahead of him for me. Although he could do a good job as a super sub.

As for carragher, I can see him doing a "Phil Neville against Romania". I hope that I'm wrong though.

No Paul Robinson, that's a shame. I thought he had a good chance this time

Ok if you say so, he's spent most of the season injured and never really hit top form. He's been match fit for about a month now and has been doing relatively well in a team playing with little confidence and most of the first team out. I think Capello likes him and will hopefully give Walcott a chance unlike at the last World Cup.

Good job your not a salesman.

Wheres Wayne Bridge?

Zamora deserves a chance over Heskey but neither are anywhere near World Cup winning standard.

thought he deserved to be in with a chance too, played well of recent.
zamora over heskey as discussed.

Otherwise, good lineup. Shock inclusion being carragher after he supposedly retired from international football.

 is that supposed to be a good point about walcott?

Capello will choose a winger who can actually cross i.e. Milner

greg_68;8579966

Walcott ain't the best winger in the world, but I'm confident he'd do a better job than Lennon and I don't even know if Milner is a right winger :? If he is then I'd say maybe put Milner ahead of Walcott.

Thank god he's not in the team I can sleep easy now.
I would pick Lennon over Walcott I just hope he recovers some of the good form he was showing before he got injured.
