Entropay for Ryanair flights?

I read on a thread a while ago (can no longer find said thread) that using entropay will allow me to book ryanair flights without the handling costs because ryanair reads these virtual visa cards as Electron cards?

Is this correct and if so, can anyone give me details such as is there a minimum i can deposit in entropay account, and do they charge comission?

thanks guys

1. Sign up for [a free account at hXXp://entropay.com/ and make sure that your chosen account currency is GBP (This is because your card will not be recognised as a Visa Electron if you choose EUR). Postal code is required so type in EIRE or some random postal code.

2. When you log into entropay you see your 'virtual card details'. Ignore the Visa Debit logo. Ryanair treats as Electron.

3. Use your regular credit card to fund the account.

4. Activate the account using the activation email that they send you.

5. You will need to load at least £10 on to the account from your existing credit card, they also take a 4.95% commision, so it will cost £10.50.

5. Choose visa electron at the ryanair checkout and enter your virtual card details. Woot - no fee!

NB: After you've used the card once sucessfully Entropay will send you an email asking for ID verification (scan of passport). Up to you if you do this - it doesnt affect the first transaction but you'll need to if you want to use the same virtual card again.

LOL I thought you meant entropy. Sure there is something ironic about that somewhere.

excellent, thank guys, rep given

I opened an Entropay last week and booked Ryanair flights with it no problem

why put some random postcode in?

Is there any reason i wouldn't give my proper details? Do i need put irish postcode in but GBP currency? im confused for why that part is shown as that

Just wondering , What happens to the £10 quid you loaded onto the card ?
If I spend 50 quid will it take 40 from my "real" card use the £10 from the "virtual" ?
I assume so but thought I would ask....

Great find if thats the case , good find anyway

Thanks !

+1 please answer someone

why dont you open up a ]halifax easycash account it comes with a visa electron. no charges for using it like there is with Entropay.

Has anyone successfully used their Entropay card to book flights with Jet2?

At a guess RealDealSeeker is Irish or though the OP was. Hence the reference to EIRE and EUR

If you're from the UK just fill in your correct details.

One change is that now Entropay appear to request ID verification before the card can be loaded for the first time. So sort out your entropay account before you need to use it.

Also the Halifax are now quoting >7 days for easycash account creation, so that avenue seems to be blocked unless you're doing this well in advance of booking.
