More than 80,000 EpiPens are being recalled worldwide because of an injector defect, which could result in patients not getting that vital dose of adrenaline that could potentially save their lives. If you've got a serious allergy, then you'll know how important your EpiPen is!

"We have had a number of messages from our supporters, who are concerned after reading about the EpiPen recall in Australia. http://www.abc.net.au/…/epipens-recalled-over-failu…/8371014
While there are some affected batches in the European and Australian markets, we have had confirmation from Meda UK that the UK stock of EpiPens are not affected".

Four batches have been recalled.

If you have an EpiPen for your own use, or for someone in your care, check to see if yours is part of the faulty batch and make sure they are immediately replaced. You can return them to pharmacies for a refund or an exchange.
