In the original format of the nations league Germany finished bottom of their group and were therefore due to be relegated to the next group down, it just so happened however that since then UEFA decided to change the format so there were no relegations after all.

What an odd and unexpected coincidence!!

You’re right! Until we get closer to the tournament date.
In the original format of the nations league Germany finished bottom of their group and were therefore due to be relegated to the next group down, it just so happened however that since then UEFA decided to change the format so there were no relegations after all.

Germany are unlikely to make the same mistake twice. Plus Germany’s finances can always help sway the rules in any tournament.
