Camelot said the winner, from the draw on Friday, October 8, is deciding whether or not to go public with the windfall.

you really would have more money than sense if you went public with it.

If I was the winner(which I'm not because I wouldn't be on here) I definitely wouldn't go public.

It doesn't say it wasn't the pensioners and they won't name them either

Chances are if you dont go public a "friend" etc will sell there story. Word would soon get out.

I'll let you into a little secret, It was me who won it

    Then I woke up.

So, how exactly would you keep it a secret when all your spending habits change?

    People would guess.

Bet Man Utd fans are hoping it was Malcolm Glazier X)

Different to front page of all the newspapers.

I'd go public then go into semi hiding, I don't think you could ever keep it a secret as someone would know and tell sooner or later. Also the papers would make it their target to find you especially the longer it went on. Those two who won £58 million a while back went public and they seem to be getting on ok.
Once you have been in the papers all the news would die down and you could be anywhere in the world for the next 6 months anyway so you wouldn't see any of it and by the time you returned nobody would be bothered or there would be another winner.
I'd be willing to put up with any hassles anyway.........please.

I think it was Wayne Rooney that won it - that's why he's not renewing his contract.

you could just tell friends that you won a million on the normal lottery. I know someone that won £600,000 on the lottery but it is still a secret from a lot of people, didn't want his ex wife and children finding out he had won it. He still lives in his old terraced house and still goes to work normally but he is happy with his holidays lol.

Could anyone really sell the story? I can't imagine it would be legal to print anything about them that would be too specific. Breach of HR privacy, no?

LOL....have you ever read a newspaper.

I'd just sit on the money for six months to a year then claim I had won 'five balls and the bonus ball' on one of the smaller lotteries. Either that or you create a business that can start small and grow (in line with your supposed cash) and requires little effort on your part, like buying housing at auction to do up and sell on.

Of course, but celebrities and private unknown individuals would be treated very differently. Especially when such a massive impact would result.

Erm hello? This is £113m not £1.3m

No one in there right mind would set up a business, maybe a charity, but that's about it.

You would have loads of projects with that sort of money from designing/furnishing your houses here and abroad. working with your yacht builder on internal design and engine spec, recruiting the crew or doing the causes to skipper it yourself (navigation, radio comms and controls ect).

you'd want to take holidays all over the world which take planning. The list of things to do would be endless.

Now they have made their fears known....they will attract that sort of trouble because they are soft.

I'd let it be known that i'd use my money to track down and torture in the most hideous way possible anyone who tried. for example inset a hose pipe into every orifice about a foot then push barbed wire through pipe about 13 inches and remove the hose.

Says they are being put up in a plush hotel by Camelot while receiving financial advice. Why on earth would you do that, if you stay somewhere so high profile with Camelot staff coming and going some bell boy is going to twig and sell the story.

I'd have contacted one of those rich people private banks, got the money secreted away then disappeared on holiday for two weeks. I don't think i'd even touch a penny or change my lifestyle for a good few months, long enough so when people see I have money they don't immediately think 'euromillions'.
