European to UK plug adaptor

Found 4th Jun 2008
Hi, I've just bought an item which has a european (german) plug on the power cable. I don't want to change the plug itself... just need an adaptor.

Where can I get one from? I'd like to just go in and buy one today, rather than mail order.

Thanks.

Yeah poundshop!

b&q have them reduced to 25p at the mo

a bit more pricey than pound shop or b&q but argos have them http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/images/9827590A57UC64709M.jpg

Thanks...

Yikes, I just bought one from Maplin... £4. Bit pricey! If I can find one at my local poundshop, I'll return the one at Maplin.

One more question though...

The powercable for the TV says "16amp 250v". The convertor I've bought says it supports "13amp 240v". Will it work?

That's probably a maximum for the cable, it's highly unlikely the TV will pull close to that power

Yep - no problems. Power supply fluctuates anyway, so the TV won't be drawing 250v.
