good thread, i just been looking myself

i think even the "experts" disagree...no one knows for sure how the pound will fluculate unfortunately

My daughter is going to Poland soon... I shall just hold on till the week she leaves before getting her money changed over.

ah by any chance, i was meant to be going mexico but changed now, got loads of dollars, but going cuba now.......dunno what to do, as in change back into sterling, or get cuban pesos and whats the best to get my money back....got about 900-1000 dollars between me and my gf

is there any difference in changing your money here before you go... at the airport..... or when you're on holiday? think I'm gonna wait till the week before we go anyway just don't know where to do it!

generally one of the best in the uk?

Most of the time you can get better on holiday though
( the rate here always seems to drop in the summer holidays,
I presume because so many go on holiday!! )

If you need a lot of money ( ie you are self catering I suppose I should
recommend cheques in case of theft! or tale a decent credit card to use
as I always seem to get a decent rate using cc abroad )

we're going to be exchanging £1000 plus whatever we save between now and july, what do you think we're best doing? xx

just checked and there's no chequecentre's near me (I'm in Norfolk)

where are you going? ive been told using your card at shops etc is worth doing?

For euros i would wait untill closer as it can't get much worse can it?

Order them online on the post office website. They've always got good rates and they will be delivered to your house or can be picked up at any post office.

Oh you can also get travel cards from the post office or markies.

Basically a kind of like a debit card where you fill it with however many euros you want and it will be accpeted anywhere that takes cards. Think you can also withdraw ur cash from your card at a hole in the wall on holiday but some may charge though i'm sure some might do it for free.

Safer than cash as you get a PIN number and some you get a spare card if you lose one

    Remember the nationwide deal.
