    well your not trading as a business, so surely you dont have to give a refund/repair. Agree speak to ebay but I dont think that you would have to do anything. 10 months is a long time and you would not expect a guarantee from ebay!

    i would tell him to do one its 10 months ago and your not a shop, think he is defo trying his luck/extracting the urine

    and i think for electronics there is a time limit for return/refund (6 months?). Beyond that point the buyer has to prove that the item was inherently faulty (hence not fit for purpose) at the point of sale.

    having said that, ebay itself has clearly stated that the act would only apply to business seller...i think you have a firm stand on this. If the good was new and is under warranty, i think you can just tell the buyer to contact the manufacturer directly

    If you are not a business you have nothing to worry about, the item you sold was sold in a fit working state...

    I would not even reply to him, if you do reply, this will make the buyer to go further thinking he can get someting else out of you....

    If i'm interpreting this correctly, he has to contact the manufacturer under the standard 12 month warranty. As a business seller, you have no obligation to accept faulty goods back after 6 months and the oem should accept it for repair. As a private seller, I don't even think you have a returns obligation up to that length of time. As long as the item was fit for purpose and as advertised at the time of purchase, the buyer can take a running jump.
