    EXPIRED. BMW 3 Series Cd changer lead. help please. !!

    Hi I have just bought a 1999 bmw compact 318ti, it has the original bmw radio/tape player which is compatable with a cd changer and I was wanting to put a cd multi changer in, but cannot find the conector lead. Does anyone know were abouts in the car this could be?

    good call, I dont own a BWM, I do have a 40k merc though, Im unsure what model the JFKs BMW was im assuming its newer then 1999, but im sure if he sees this thread he will give some helpful info

    What model as some did not have all wiring in.
    My old 53 plate 316sei had no spare wiring in.
    But my 57 plate 318 sei had all the wiring in and its behind the mounting position in the boot on these but not sure on older models.:thumbsup::santa:

    I have a '96 ti which I LOVE! The changer in mine was installed on the left side.
    Try looking behind the panel in the left side. I also have a prewired tag on the right side like you, but the system is on the left.


    Didn't get the CD changer for my ti, but I know that although the tag is on the right (passenger) side in mine, the wires are actually on the left.

    I think that's where the wiring is for the CD changer in mine - left side panel in the boot.
