Due to the impact of Coronavirus various retailers have extended their returns period. For example both Adidas and Reebok have extended free returns to 100 days, and some companies such as Boden are even offering 365 day returns. See the list below.

  • Adidas - temporarily increased free returns to 100 days

  • Amazon - no change still 30 days returns

  • Apple Store- extended returns up to 14 days after stores reopen

  • AO - temporarily increased free returns to 100 days

  • Argos- existing returns policy of 30 days remains in place, any purchases made from 1st March you have an extra 30 days to return once standalone stores reopen. For any Tu Clothing purchased via Argos from 1st March you have 100 days to return (usually 30 days).


  • Boden - extended returns to 365 days

  • B&Q - no change still 45 days returns

  • Burton - extending their in-store returns policy to cover temporary store closures and will offer flexible return dates once the stores reopen.


  • Crocs - temporarily extended returns period to 90 days

  • Currys - whilst Currys stores are temporarily closed, you will still have 21 days from the date you purchased, but this will exclude the dates that your local store is closed.

  • Debenhams - extended returns period, now accepting returns up to 14 days after stores reopen.

  • Ebay - no change still 30 days returns

  • Footasylum - temporarily extended returns period to 120 days

  • Habitat - for any purchases from 1st March, 30 days to return within Habitat stores reopening


  • Help for Heroes - items ordered after 24th March 2020 can be returned up to 3 months later

  • H&M - temporarily extended returns period to 120 days

  • Hollister - temporarily extended returns period to 30th June

  • John Lewis - for shop purchases made from 18th February 2020, extended returns for up to 35 days from John Lewis shops reopening. If you have been unable to return an unwanted item due to self isolation restrictions, they will honour a late return


  • Marks & Spencers - extended returns to 90 days (usually 30 days). Applicable to online and instore purchases, except sale items.

  • Miss Selfridge - extending in-store returns policy to cover temporary store closures and will offer 14 days once stores reopen

  • Next - extended returns period, now accepting returns up to 14 days after stores reopen.

  • New Look- temporarily extended returns period to 90 days

  • Nike - all Nike purchases made after 14 February 2020 have an extended 60-day returns policy.

  • Office - extended returns period, now accepting returns up to 30 days after stores reopen.

  • Reebok - temporarily increased free returns to 100 days

  • Sainsbury's - for groceries purchased instore, no unwanted item returns from 26th March. For Sainsbury's general merchandise and clothing, for any purchases made from 1st March you have 100 day returns (instead of 30 days)

  • Shoe Zone - extended returns period, now offering free returns to store within 12 months

  • Smyths Toys - for online orders returns are continuing to operate as normal. For in-store purchases returns policy has been extended by 28 days once stores reopen.

  • Ted Baker - temporarily increased returns to 40 days (previously 14 days)

  • TM Lewin - temporarily increased free returns to 90 days

  • Topshop - for in store purchases extended returns policy by 14 days once the stores reopen. For online orders extended returns policy to within 45 days of receipt.

  • Topman - for in store purchases extended returns policy by 14 days once the stores reopen. For online orders extended returns policy to within 45 days of receipt.

  • TK Maxx - if you are unable to return your item within 28 days because of the closure of our stores, they will extend returns period for 30 days from the date the store reopens.

  • Tu.co.uk- for any purchases made from 1st March you now have 100 days from purchase to return items instead of 30 days.

  • Vertbaudet- extended returns outside of the normal 30 day returns policy: you will be able to return your parcel within 30 days after the ParcelShop service is running again.
