I am after an external Hard Drive for a family member, but with a maximum of £40 to spend. It is only going to be used to store photographs.

Cheers

You could get a brand new one for under £40 from a few places, have you looked?

Er Yes or I wouldn't have asked on here for any recommendations....

If it's only going to be used to store photographs I'd get a stick rather than a drive. A 16gb stick will hold all you'll ever need and more (unless you have an enourmous ammount), it will also be far more portable.

16gb here for £12.50

I think something like this would be a lot better.

I currently have a WD 500GB, so even something very similar.
