I have filled my Dell Dimension 5000 160gb hard drive up with 2gb to spare, I have been advised to open her up (out of warranty) and add another. I dont do opening PC's and to be honest it would be dangerous. I have decided to invest in an external hard drive (usb).

Can somebody please advise:
a. A good make
b. a good make at an affordable price.

Many thanks

Thanks for this link Donleeone, are the Iomega a good make? I have never heard of these before. I dont want to transfer my data for it to die on me. Which one would you recommend.

Many thanks

Don't really know about hardrives to be honest so you might want to ask someone else, but pretty sure lacie and western digital are good.

I bought the seagate 320gb from dabs.com ordered at 19:00 was delivered 10:10 next day in Scotland £84.50 delivered.

I've had the Western Digital MyBook 320GB for a couple of months now, very quiet, reliable and gets good reviews. Looks nice too!

£89.26 Delivered

if you look on the HotDeals forum there is a 500GB MyBook for just over £100, also go and have a look in your local staples as mine have the Lacie (v good make) 500GB D2 Big Disk for £99.91
