External hard drives and more

Hi guys, if by any miracle anyone sees this and cares to educate a noob, what is the most affordable way to expand memory on my PS4/Xbox One? I know external hard drives are the go-to, but I see HDD Enclosures all over the place and actual HDDs that are a lot cheaper than their external counterparts... so what is the best way to go? Can I manage to get 1-2TB for less than £40 by any legal, non-risk methods? Many thanks, Jordan

Are you after a drive for internal or external? Ps4 or xbox1

Internal HHD is cheaper but if you don't want the hassle just go with an external HHD, like a plug-n-play but get the one that you need.

Seagate do an external hard drive for both Xbox and Playstation but are £75 for 2TB

Changing the HHD in both the Xbox and Playstation are fairly easy but you will need to format the drive and load of the OS.

If I get a HDD and put it in a USB 3.0 enclosure, can I use it as an external HDD?
