External weather-proof movement sensor

Found 12th Nov 2006
Not sure where to get such thing, TBH.
I have three external lights on my house. These are controlled by light switch inside.
Is it possible to convert it to 'automatic' system, say to turn lights on when someone is moving next to my house and switch lights off when there was no movement in 5 minites or so?
I looked in my local Homebase but they only do lamps with built-in sensors, not sensors on its own.

Could someone please advise if such a thing exists and where to get it from? Network connection isn't required

Thank you, will take a look.

As melipona said, they are available.
]Screwfix have a selection also.
They are stand alone pir.

A hilo option is also good if your in remote location. Lights are dimmed (dusk til dawn) but go full power when motion sensed.
Im not 100% sure if these can be used with energy efficient bulbs though, something I would want if they are on all night.
