Extra Value Desktop PC, Intel Dual Core E5300, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, DVDRW, NO OS

Hi all, I bought that PC from ebuyer, I also bought the powercolor HD4670 so I use the same PSU.

First I have to comment that the PC fan is VERY loud - very disapointing.

I've installed Windows 7 [64 bit] and the graphics card driver update under windowsupdate. But I'm not that too impressed wtih the picture. I'm running 1920x1080 on my Dell s2409w (using DVI) but the picture is not as impressive as I'd expected.

Are there any tools that can benchmark/test the graphics performance for me?

When I connect a PS3 onto the same monitor the picture is unbelivable.

    Any ideas?

    processor 6.1
    RAM 5.9
    graphics 6.8
    gaming graphic 6.8
    hard disk 5.9

    Overal 5.9

Before the graphics card was installed the graphics figures were...

    graphics 3.8
    gaming graphic 3.4

    Giving an overal of 3.4

I realise these figures have improved but something's niggling me.

    Provider : ATI Technologies Inc.
    Driver date : 13/08/2009
    Version : 8.650.0.0

It's just not as "crisp" as I thought, let me put it another way.

When I originally connected a PS3 to the monitor, I loaded a game and I thought, the picture is fantastic, it really was a "wow" moment.

With this PC connected, I've viewed a few computer generated movies (e.g of a beach with the tide coming in and out, and the water dispersing into the sand) but it think its a bit grainy.

From pictures on google images, it doesn't look like it even has a connector for receiving power from a PSU rail so i wouldn't think you do need to.
