i was pretty amazed at how they do it, and must admit it did make me whince a little

But what is actually done? I can't think of anything else you could do once you've pulled out the ones you don't want with tweezers. Do you get stuff twined in with what's left?
    Old bag :giggle:

here's how you manipulate/twist the thread

tweezers :w00t::w00t: Like i said i have never even plucked them, they use cotton to removed the hairs

mrs just had her done and she states she cant even feel a thing as the lady who threads it(lol) is very good at doing the job.

Bit of cream does the job of making the pain go away!!

Thin thread and is crossed and then plucks your hair, better than tweezers!! At barbers they put the thread in their teeth and move their head as they tighten the thread!

well i wasnt at the barbers, but yes this is exactly how she did it

its quick - stings a bbit afterwards - better thank tweezers

you can do it yourself - with practice - use satinised cotton- smoother
try doing your legs -- arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - stick to waxing:w00t:

Never plucked them? They must be very elegantly arched!!

This all sounds completely bonkers. Getting the hairs out by trapping them in twisted cotton threads??
Tweezers pull them out by the root how can threads do better?
Still I suppose it's all part of the pampering experience - of which I have no knowledge what-so-ever.
Oh hang on - at the barbers as well - not much pampering going on there I don't suppose.

OK - not actually you at the barbers sassie!!

I didn't know that there were any barbers left either - do they still sell number 6 cigarettes in ones and twos I wonder.
I'm going to have to go on some sort of round Britain tour to see what's going on.

I have it done and i find it much better than waxing, would never go back to waxing or plucking now. The lady who does mine has done a lovely shape for me so I am very pleased.

I have my eyebrows threaded and my chin - my friend's a beautician, so she does it for me. I'm allergic to wax and cream on my face. I can't stand using tweezers - I know when the pains coming:oops:

I think I'll just tweezer as always. I don't find it very painful .:)

Threading does hurt the first couple of times but you do get used to it!
