Eyesight and iPhone

Quick question: Are the fonts any larger on the plus than the X? My poor eyesight is deteriorating fast, and I want a phone that will last 2 years.

I know, Android are cheaper, better spec’d. But Android are invasive in terms of privacy, I don’t mind paying a premium for something I use daily, and specs don’t make much difference anymore.

I’m leaning toward the 8 Plus as there seem to be a load of deals on them.

Thank you

If there’s no improvement, should I get the battery replaced on my 6?
Go to settings/general/accessibility where their is a full set of options to help you, including a option to turn on large text, a quick access magnifier (use your phone as a magnifying glass, by tapping home button 3 times!) ,voiceover Plus lots of other helpful options.

If you can't do it yourself I'm sure any iPhone shop staff will help you out to enable the best setup for you.

You could get the battery replaced and sell the iPhone 6 privately to offset the price of a new iPhone 7 plus or 8 plus. The plus models are much easier to see, my wife has iPhone 7 plus and the screen really is lovely. If you can afford it though go for the 8 plus.

android phones are not invasive, lol this is the most ridiculous comment i have heard in a while.

1. android allows you to control what/who accesses your info
2. having google apps on your iphone is exactly the same
3. im sure you dont use facebook

if you have the cash invest in pixel phone and you are sorted. then you can resize font and screen as you wish

I know. Ludicrous to avoid android because of paranoia. I am paranoid about privacy as i run my life on my android phone. All my money are done through there, so i have a lot to lose, and yet i have an android phone.

OP, seriously, phone security wont be that different between android and apple
There are countless examples of Google’s invasive policy toward user privacy.

I have all my bank info and my work email on my phone - I feel more secure running iOS. It’s a personal preference.
Google make money selling on your details, Apple make money charging ridiculous amounts for their products ha

I don’t use social media - I, and hold on to something, talk to my friends in person. I’m not a millennial and have zero interest in finding out where my work colleague went on her holiday.

The data that can identify you is stored on a secure enclave of the device. NSA not a fan.

Apologies if that came across as sharp, I’m not having a go at you - just the idea that one can trust Google ha

The NSA and it’s partners track everything online, there’s nothing that can be done about that without using Tor.

I’m not sure what to say? Have you heard of Edward Snowden? Anyway, I was only saying I don’t use social media from preference about how I communicate with friends, not regarding tracking.

I brought up NSA only in regards their distaste for iOS hence why it’s the better operating system for those who value privacy.

yup you are a conspiracytard

what national secrets do you keep on your phone? selfies of your penis? if you arent doing anything wrong you should not be concerned about privacy. believe me NSA doesnt care what type of porn you watch

It’s from principle that I object to the blanket surveillance by government agencies. I don’t have anything of interest at all to the NSA - I know that well. Yet I dislike the idea that everything we do is monitored and recorded. Dismiss it as me being a conspiracytard if you like, though you’re missing the point.
