FA Community Shield 2017 - Arsenal vs Chelsea, 2pm Kick-Off!

Found 6th Aug 2017
The Football season is back today with the Community Shield curtain raiser between the FA Cup Champions Arsenal and the Barclays Premier League Champions Chelsea at Wembley Stadium. Live on BT Sport 1, programming starts at 1pm and Kick-Off at 2pm (which means that you can watch the MotoGP Czech Republic race at 1pm and switch back in time for the Kick-Off).

Who do you think will reign supreme and claim the Community Shield (which now holds status as a legitimate trophy according to Man Utd fans last season claiming a 'treble' (that plus the two tinpot trophies of the League Cup and Europa League))? Which player do you think will standout from the rest and give a fantastic performance at Wembley? Which new signing from Arsenal or Chelsea do you think would do well this season? Looking forward, who do you think will win the major honours and how far would the English clubs fare in the UEFA Champions League?

Anyone who counts this as anything but a pre-season charity game has lost any sense of perspective.
To include it in a trophy count makes a mockery of cup competitions like the FA cup and League cup let alone the League itself and European honours.
It's about as much of an honour as being top of the group in those pre-season friendly competitions that take place in the USA and Asia.

Arsenal won after Chelsea had a shocker in the newly formatted penalty shootout (instead of the usual ABAB shootout format, it was in the ABBA format).

Damn, was looking forward to watchign Arsenal Fan TV tonight
