Fact Or Myth: Lifting Weights/dumbbells makes you short?

Hi I was wondering If Lifting weights and bumbells makes you short? As I still want to grow but I want to get some pex's and some lean muscle around biceps.

Thanks, Also whats the beth moethod for six pack, I do Crunches, Sit ups, Pull up and push ups. (I want lean muscle so I dont just want to burn the fat but I want the Abs to grow in muscle if you get what i mean.)

Im afraid its true. I remember in school this lad who started lifting weights at 10. He got really strong, however 8 years on. Hes only 5 foot 2.

He comes from a family of tall people as well. Doctor said it was because he lifted weights, said if he didn't he would have been at least 6 foot. So please be careful

I've never done weights in my life and I'm over 7 foot tall so I think you're on to something.

I'm 16 and 5 foot 7, roughly the same height as my parents so I realised I wasn't going to grow much more anyway so started going to the gym

Think I read if it did have an affect, it wouldn't be much, so small you've never regret it.

See how tall you are compared to your parents / your age and height vs others.

As no one knows anyone's finishing height, it's impossible to say, my brother should be smaller than me, but he is taller and only 11 (I'm 5.11).

Just lift

Abs is bodyfat, end of, sure making them bigger will make them stand out more, and possibly more definition as it's pushing your skin outwards more making your skin tighter, but only when your a lower bodyfat.

I got abs at 10% bodyfat, so you don't have to be super ripped to get them, but it is down to how your body is too, your build and how your body stores fat deposits. I only did Crunches for abs, they are the best, and if you want size, then put a weightlifting plate behind your head for more weight.

not sure who beth moethod is but she might be able to give you sound advice on carrying a six pack home from asda
also bumbells should be kept off this forum at least until after 10pm when the kids go to bed

I dont mean to alarm the OP, however this little guy here started weight lifting at 5 years old. Look at how it has stunted his growth
