    er no news the Indians tried to get a squeak from it but nothing

    the orbiter is now headed round the 'dark side' of Mars
    and will hopefully report back in half an hour or so

    looks like something may have gone wrong with the lander
    (not really a huge surprise given the history)

    Signal lost from the Schiaparelli lander just before touchdown
    further update on that at 9am

    all is well with the orbiter however and it will start sniffing out Martians in a couple of years time
