Fat White Family at O2 Academy Brixton with LONDON CALLING

Academy Brixton supported by Black Lips

Competition Ends: 12/09/2016

On 17th September, rugged post-punk outfit Fat White Family will play their largest headline gig to date at O2 Brixton Academy, and we’ve got two tickets to the show to give away! Formed in 2011 after meeting in a Peckham squat the band perfected a unique blend of punk, psychedelia and rock & roll whilst preserving their signature grungy sound as a left over from their humble beginnings in South London. Their debut album, Champagne Holocaust, was released in Spring 2013 and caught the attention of many within the music industry including the indie rock royalty Franz Ferdinand (who asked the band to support them) as well as record label Fat Possum (to which they are now signed). Since then the band has released one more album entitled Songs For Our Mothers which was released early 2016.

Recently, the band has been collaborating with Black Lips front man, Cole Alexander, to release their latest single 'Breaking Into Aldi' (listen below) which came out August 15th of this year. Subsequently, the Black Lips will be supporting Fat White Family for their headline hometown gig.

I am outraged at the racist and fatist name of this band. I am starting a social justice campaign to stop this. Down with this sort of thing
