Ok, my Dad is nearly 70 but quite active for his age. He is into photography but has absolutely every camera, lens, tripod, printer and ink he could want because if he wants/needs something he goes out to buy it. He loves his music and goes through numerous mp3/4 players and accessories like headsets and docking stations. He likes computing and already has a half decent laptop (refuses on buying more memory but wont let me buy any) and a Linux based netbook. He doesn't live near me so it isn't like I can take him out for a trip and a meal. He used to enjoy a decent bottle of mature malt but since he only drinks at Xmas, would be a more suitable Christmas gift and not Father's day.

Maybe go and see him and take him out for a trip / meal especially if you never see him.

lol he has a weather doodah too. I did say he gets what he wants. We have been trying to arrange a visit since Easter but he is still working as a photographer so picking a day isn't that easy. We are trying to arrange a trip over next month but that will be too late for Father's day. I did say he was fussy. Was thinking of a planetarium but he prob has 1 of them and not told me about it yet.

Well, I asked him what he would like and he said an old B/W movie on DVD. Found online and sent it, also a box of chocs. I sent a surprise gift which arrived today and he wasn't impressed. Grrrrr Dad's!
