Faulty Items

I got given a coat that was purchased from play for my birthday, I have had it two weeks and the cord at the bottom of the jacket, which keeps the wind out has snapped after little use. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can return the coat and exchange it for another one? Thank you for any help in advance.

becuase it was bought as a present, so I wanted to no if I could sort it out, rather then them. People on here have good knowledge so I wanted to see on here first.
i think the person who bought it will have to sort it out, as you wont be able to prove you bought it if you know what i mean, the person who bought it will have all the order details in their account.
