    Final fantasy ps4

Why do I start? Which game should I buy? I don't know anything about these games but I fancy giving it a go. There seem to be a lot of options what should I buy?

Start with the latest one that being FF15. You probably won't want FF14 as that's an mmorpg

    FFX

Don't play XV. It's awful and the furthest thing from a Final Fantasy game. I agree with the above comment and start with X.

Depends on what you want out of the experience. Some would argue that Final Fantasy hasn't been Final Fantasy since 9. I'm a big FF and I've enjoyed them all, bar 11 because I didn't play it.

There is no right answer to this as they all do it differently.
Ff is about story telling so it depends what you want your experience to be like.

Comijg from a massive Ff fan I like all the games even 13 etc. As your on ps4 you have options for older games like 7 etc. Try to get a brief short about each game from somewhere without ruining the plot and play the one you like the sound of first.

Also 11 and 14 are mmo games

The games have very little to do with each other so you can jump in anywhere .
Personally I would go for 8 (which is my favourite) as I think it has by far the best side quests and world exploration . Or 7 because . IMO everything after isn't that good really
9 had rubbish side quests (unless you like pressing a button 1000 times in time)
10 I loved but replayed recently and most of the characters aren't likeable at all and most of the maps are long straight lines . Although it does have really good side quests about 3/4 of the way through.
12 I don't understand why people say they love this so much as no one really bought it. But it's got a story and characters that are a bit 1d and has a decent main side quest but it requires a LOT of waiting around
    13 was turd , never played 13 2
And 15 ....... I personally didn't like it , the world is pretty empty the combat system is ok at best ,the side quests are all boring and don't get me started on the worst fast travel system (the car) in history .
If you haven't played them I would recommend
Persona 5 one of the top 5 games on ps4 imo or even (if you have a ps2) lucifers call

persona 5 is my other option. I've never played a turn based game before. How do you rate it?

I love it tbh . I didn't buy it and hadn't tried one before as I wasn't sure I would like the social "high school simulator" side of things , but it is a great game with SO much style ,all the characters are quite likeable (except one) there is a lot to do and the game is huge and will take about 120 hours on first play through . The "high school simulator" side of things is also pretty good and more about deciding which stats or bonuses to try to max out , and the soundtrack is easily the best I have ever heard + the side quests / trophies are fun especially the monster combining . Only thing I can really complain about is everything takes a LONG time and the game isn't very respectful of your time (I am only finding this is grating a little as I am 115 hours in and haven't made it too the end yet)
Oh I will add that persona 5 is only 50% turn based jrpg and the other 50% is spent out of dungeons training various stats/social

I've bought Persona 5, well I haven't but my kids have as my Father's Day present. It was a close decision between the two. I will get FF later in the year.

I hope you like it .
Tell me what you think of it after you have played it for a while
I would still recommend the old ff games over the new . Bought ff15 for £10 and got bored about 15 hours in
