Finding a obvious price error deap in a site...

Say you are looking for a TV, and you type in the model in a search of a TV selling type site, and see it at a silly cheap price, say £197.97 instead of the RRP of £999.....

    Do you...

Order and post straight away on hotukdeals
    or
Order, wait for delivery, then post.....

I have to go for the 2nd option I think, I see too many deals (Like the beds), that when the masses order they realise something is wrong and look into it, then cancel orders????

    What do you think guys???

    option 2

option 2 if you want me to check it out send me the info......

Id go for option 2 aswell especially with whats happening with these beds lol

It would also depend on who you bought it from, if it was littlewoods for example, I would wait till its on its way because there terms say so. Then I would post it.

I guess 1 is the answer if you are a truly HUKD member and believe in this site.

By the way I think someone already created that post for that TV

This site stands for true hot deals, not obvious misprices where greedy people stock up for thier own profit, where if the seller refuses to honour the misprice the masses kick up a fuss and whinge about something they they wouldnt have bought unless is was at that misspriced amount anyway.

A question for you then. how do you know if a deal is a misprice or a proper deal ?

You simply don't. I guess the most natural thing would be to wait and see, but chances are that someone else will find the deal and post it here or in some other similar forum.

A post in HUKD just helps to answer that question a lot quicker.

At least posting here you get some people that probably have helped you in the past to benefit from it.

The Homeplug adapter deal for £9.99 was a classic example, it was a valid deal (not a misprice) but the site MAx TV did not handle their stock properly, so they took more order than they should have. The people that order first got the order and rest of us did not.

If is a misprice chances are nobody will get it anyway. So I will have to say that 1 is probably the option that we should go for. Even that in reality most of us do option 2 if we really want the item.

Is the company musthave100? If so I'd go for option 3, don't order

let common sense previal, a £1000 TV would never sell at a retail value of less than £200, due to liquidation, discontinued model, even if it fell off back of a lorry it wouldnt go for that, not no way.... ever!

theres the slight difference with the homplug deal in that it could always be pressumed a valid deal becuase the retail cost would still be higher than the manufaturing costs.

Option 2 for me too,i've said it before on here,if it were i,i'd secure mine first then tell others.

always get your own first, that will probably be a misprice, if a few people order they may honour, if thousands order you have no chance

2nd option - selfish but still.

Cheers for making me feel better, I would go for option 2 for a obvious miss price...

Option 1 for a obvious clearance..

Very low stock anyway (I think, last years model) so maybe a clearance, probably sold out by the time the courier turns up...

Thing is, it does not turn up in the TV section when looking and using the menus, only comes up with a direct product code search... We will see.

    Pm Me :d

Option 2, although by then I doubt it would still be available.
