So firefox offers me an update tonight and it's not a part but a full release to 5!

Not had much time to play but be careful when tinkering with settings.
there is an option now to not allow tracking cookies.
Could cause carnage with quidco and the like!

Must admit, never heard of that despite having avast for a few years now
Just clicked on it though within avast and it's not give me an error or complained oO

Edit: but having seen what it does via the avast forum, you're correct it's not working

I've gone to Chrome a few times, and find that once you have a few tabs open, its as useless as firefox on memory, and doesn't have live bookmarks.

PS: The reason for the quick updates is to catch up version numbers with IE, and Chrome, which google upgrade to major versions seemingly every other week.

Firefox 6 and potentially 7 will be out before the end of the year I believe.

Great if it add all the extensions that FF has, the main one for me being the freecycle mod plugin.
the others I can live without but this one saves me having to cross check every pending wanted message for repeats etc. I'd say it saves me half an hour a day as it does it all automatically for me.

5 is better than 4 ditched 4 after a day and went back to 3.6.xx

I must say Firefox 4 is the 1st time I had upgraded my browser, and not liked it.

use pale moon if you like firefox's old interface.....uses less memory and is exactly the same but quicker, you also get the same regular updatesd and most addons work fine
